This verse in the King James

King James wording
Therefore, when they were come hither, without any delay on the morrow I sat on the judgment seat, and commanded the man to be brought forth.

The judgment seat is a raised place one steps onto, turning judgment from an abstraction into the moment a person is brought into view.

The waiting ends: authority takes its seat, and a person is brought before it. Judgment becomes a direct encounter, as a case moves from anticipation into the presence of someone who can decide it.
