This verse in the King James

King James wording
And he made his seven lamps, and his snuffers, and his snuffdishes, of pure gold.

The tools that clear away what has burned are made of the same pure gold as the lamps: tending the light belongs to its design.

The care of a flame is part of its making: the tools that trim and collect what has burned share the lamps’ worth. Your light is sustained through clearing away as well as shining; what has spent itself can be lifted clear without being treated as worthless.

WHAT THIS UNDOES

This verse undoes the belief that clearing away what is spent is lesser work: the tools for tending the lamps are pure gold too.
