This verse in the King James

King James wording
For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;

The blessing arrives in the same scene as the slaughter, spoken by a king whose name joins righteousness to wholeness.

You meet blessing at the return from violence: Abraham comes from slaughter, and a priest-king blesses him there. Righteousness and wholeness stand beside the bloodshed, so the blessing reaches into the scene without erasing what happened.

WHAT THIS UNDOES

A life that has passed through violence cannot receive blessing.
