This verse in the King James

King James wording
Howbeit I sent unto you all my servants the prophets, rising early and sending them, saying, Oh, do not this abominable thing that I hate.

The doubled “sent” comes from ⁨שָׁלַח⁩ (shalach, “send forth; release”): the warning itself is release reaching you before the deed is done.

The LORD names the deed as abhorrent and sends his servants to warn you before it is done. His repeated approach brings the warning into your present moment, while the act remains undone.

WHAT THIS UNDOES

This undoes the belief that God’s opposition means he has left you alone: here, the warning keeps arriving before the deed is done.

שָׁלַח

shalach

GROWS FROM

שלח

Send forth, release, let go, extend outward.

The verse uses this root twice: “I sent” and “sending them.” Its wider family carries both the sent waters and provision spread out to meet a need, making the prophets’ words an outward reach that can release you from the deed before it is done.

ALSO GROWS

Shiloach: Siloam; “sent” waters.

שִׁלֹחַ

The sent waters picture restoration arriving from beyond oneself, as the warning arrives to meet the hearer.

shulchan: Table; provision spread out.

שֻׁלְחָן

This branch carries the sense of something extended outward to meet a need, like the warning sent toward the hearer.

The LORD repeatedly sends warning before the deed is done, making divine approach precede the act.

And the LORD God of their fathers sent to them by the hand of his messengers, rising early and sending, because he had compassion on his people and on his dwelling place.
2 Chronicles 36:15 · SDVThe repeated sending is explicitly joined to compassion, showing warning as an act of reaching toward the people.
To hear and respond to the words of my servants the prophets, whom I sent to you, rising early and sending them, but you have not heard and responded.
Jeremiah 26:5 · SDVThe prophets are sent repeatedly while the warning is still before the hearers.
Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I wanted to gather your children together, as a bird gathers her brood under her wings, and you did not want it.
Luke 13:34 · SDVThe repeated wish to gather and the prophets sent to the people show divine approach meeting refusal.
From the day your fathers came out of the land of Egypt until this day, I have sent to you all my servants the prophets, day by day rising early and sending them.
Jeremiah 7:25 · SDV

Jeremiah 7:25 repeats ⁨שָׁלַח⁩ (shalach, “send forth; release”) in “sent” and “sending,” then stretches that motion across every day. Beside this verse, it reveals the warning as persistent release reaching you before the deed is done.
