This verse in the King James

King James wording
There is a path which no fowl knoweth, and which the vulture’s eye hath not seen:

The path is real even when no creature can know or see it.

A way exists beyond the reach of creaturely instinct and sight. When you cannot perceive a route through what you face, this verse leaves room for a path that is real before it is visible to you.

WHAT THIS UNDOES

It undoes the belief that a way is absent simply because no visible creature can find it.

אֹרַח

’orach

GROWS FROM

ארח

To travel or go along a route; a traveled way.

“path” in this verse is ’orach. The Hebrew word can name both a route and a course of travel, so this is more than an abstract mystery: it is a way that can be traversed. The verse says that such a way exists beyond the knowing and sight of every creature it names.

ALSO GROWS

’oreach: Traveler or guest

אֹרֵחַ

The traveler and the path share the root, linking a way with movement along it.

’arach: To travel or journey

אָרַח

The verb carries the sense of moving along a way that the verse says remains unseen.

’orchot: Paths or courses

אֹרְחוֹת

The plural form shows the word can describe courses through life or terrain, not only a single track.

יְדָעוּ

yeda’u

GROWS FROM

ידע

To know, recognize, or perceive; sometimes to know through experience or encounter.

“has known” in this verse is yeda’u. The verse pairs this knowing with an eye that has not seen: both inward recognition and outward perception reach their limit. The path does not become unreal because creatures cannot perceive or encounter it.

ALSO GROWS

yada: To know, recognize, or perceive

יָדַע

This is the root verb behind “knoweth,” naming the creaturely recognition the verse says cannot grasp the path.

da’at: Knowledge or understanding

דַּעַת

This noun shows the wider field of knowing that the path remains outside.

A way can exist beyond created sight and recognition, then be disclosed as it is traveled.

Your way is in the sea, and your trail in the many waters, and your footprints are not perceived.
Psalm 77:19 · SDVA way and footsteps are present in the waters even when they cannot be traced.
I will bring the blind on a way they have not known, and set them walking along paths they have not known. I will make darkness into light before them, and the crooked into straight. These things I will do for them, and I will not let go of them.
Isaiah 42:16 · SDVA path unknown to those being led still exists and becomes traversable as they are brought along it.
But as it is written, the eye has not seen, nor has the ear heard, nor has it come up upon the heart of man, the things God has made ready for those who love him.
1 Corinthians 2:9 · SDVWhat lies beyond sight, hearing, and thought is not therefore absent.
But the path of the aligned is like gleaming light, walking and shining until the day stands firm.
Proverbs 4:18 · SDV

“Path” here is the same Hebrew word, ⁨אֹרַח⁩ (’orach), as in Job 28:7. Job names a real way beyond creaturely sight; Proverbs uses that word for a course whose light grows clearer as it is traveled.
