What Does 2 Chronicles 7:10 Mean in the King James?
And on the three and twentieth day of the seventh month he sent the people away into their tents, glad and merry in heart for the goodness that the LORD had shewed unto David, and to Solomon, and to Israel his people.

THE KEY
The people leave the sacred gathering carrying its goodness with them, because release does not mean loss.
THE MEANING
The LORD’s goodness is not bound to one place: it sends you back into your life with gladness still held in your heart. What has been shown to you can travel with you into the ordinary shelter of your days.
WHAT THIS UNDOES
This undoes the belief that you must stay at the source of goodness to keep it; release carries goodness with you.
THE ROOT
וַיְשַׁלַּח
vayeshallach
GROWS FROM
שלח
שָׁלַח (shalach) means to send forth or release.
“sent the people away” in this verse is vayeshallach. This verb makes the people’s departure an act of release, not merely a change of place. Its outward movement also appears in שִׁלֹחַ (Shiloach, sent forth), the name of waters that carry restoration, and שֻׁלְחָן (shulchan, table), where provision is extended; here, goodness travels outward with the people.
ALSO GROWS
shilluaḥ: sending away, dismissal
שִׁלּוּחַ
This noun makes explicit the release carried by the people’s departure.
Shiloach: sent forth
שִׁלֹחַ
The name of the healing waters echoes how what restores can be sent outward.
shulchan: table
שֻׁלְחָן
The table evokes provision extended outward, as the goodness here accompanies the people into their tents.
THE PATTERN
Goodness encountered in God’s presence travels with people when they return to ordinary life.
On the eighth day he sent the people away: and they blessed the king, and went unto their tents joyful and glad of heart for all the goodness that the LORD had done for David his servant, and for Israel his people. And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.THE THREAD
And the LORD spake unto Moses, Go unto Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Let my people go, that they may serve me.“Let my people go” uses שָׁלַח (shalach, send forth or release), the same root carried by “sent the people away” here. In Exodus, release opens a way out of constriction toward service; here, release carries the people from the gathering into their tents with joy still within them.
