For thou art not sent to a people of a strange speech and of an hard language, but to the house of Israel;

THE KEY
Even familiar people can be the destination of a true sending.
THE MEANING
You can be sent toward people whose words are already familiar; familiarity does not cancel the reality of being sent. Here the destination is the house of Israel, not a people whose speech is strange to you.
WHAT THIS UNDOES
Being sent only counts when it carries you among strangers. This verse places the commission among the familiar people of Israel.
THE ROOT
שָׁלוּחַ
shaluach
GROWS FROM
שלח
shalach
Send forth; release; let go.
שָׁלוּחַ (shaluach, sent) comes from שלח (shalach, send forth or release), so the word carries motion from the sender toward a destination. Its sense of release makes the sending more than a title: the messenger is let loose toward the people named.
ALSO GROWS
shalach: To send, send forth, or release.
שָׁלַח
This is the verb behind the form used here: Ezekiel is sent forth toward a particular people.
mishloach: A sending forth or dispatch.
מִשְׁלוֹחַ
This branch makes the outward movement explicit: sending carries something from its source toward its destination.
Shiloach: Shiloach, the name rendered Siloam and glossed “Sent.”
שִׁלֹחַ
The same sending language appears in John 9:7, where the pool named Siloam becomes part of a return to sight.
THE PATTERN
A sending takes shape through the people and place to which the sender directs the messenger.
Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt. But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak. Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.THE THREAD
And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.John glosses Siloam as “Sent,” echoing שָׁלוּחַ (shaluach, sent), from שלח (shalach, send forth or release). There, the place named by sending is tied to sight returning, opening Ezekiel’s word toward restored perception.
