This verse in the Selah Decoded Version

Love names the child before calling him out of the two narrows.

You are addressed as a child who is loved before you are called out of constriction. The call does not create that belonging; it makes it audible and moves you beyond the narrow place. Love comes before the leaving.

WHAT THIS UNDOES

The lie is that you must first escape the narrow place or become mature to be loved. Here, the child is loved before the call out begins.

מִצְרַיִם

Mitzrayim

GROWS FROM

צרר

ṣ-r-r

To press in, bind, or confine; its tzar word-family carries the sense of narrowness and distress.

“Egypt” in this verse is Mitzrayim. Mitzrayim carries the image of constriction: the two narrows the child is called out of. The verse presents the call as movement from a tight place toward spaciousness, with love already present before the departure.

ALSO GROWS

tzar: Narrow, tight; a constrictor or adversary.

צַר

This word gives the image of the narrow place from which the child is called.

tsarah: Distress, trouble, a tight place.

צָרָה

Distress is pictured as being pressed in, the condition the call leads out of.

Mitzrayim: Egypt; read through tzar and the dual ending -ayim, the two narrows.

מִצְרַיִם

The place-name makes the child’s departure an image of release from constriction.

קָרָאתִי

qara'ti

GROWS FROM

קרא

q-r-ʾ

To call aloud, summon, proclaim, or name.

“called” in this verse is qara'ti. The call is more than a command to move: it summons the child while declaring who the child is. The same root appears in words for reading and assembly, linking the spoken call with recognition and gathering.

ALSO GROWS

miqra: A public reading, convocation, or assembly.

מִקְרָא

The root’s call can gather people into a shared presence, giving the call out of Egypt a direction as well as an origin.

qeri'ah: A calling, reading aloud, or proclamation.

קְרִיאָה

The call is voiced and heard: the child’s identity as son is spoken as he is called out.

Love names the child as belonging, then calls the child out of bondage toward spacious life.

And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites.
Exodus 3:8 · KJVThe movement out of Egypt leads from a constricted place toward a land described as good and large.
He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder.
Psalm 107:14 · KJVThe call out of constriction appears as a breaking of bonds and an emergence from darkness.
For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
Romans 8:15 · KJVRelease from bondage opens into the child’s direct belonging and address to the Father.
But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.
Isaiah 43:1 · KJV

Isaiah uses the same qara root: the one called out is also called by name. The call carries recognition and belonging, the voice that calls you out already knows you as its own.
