This verse in the Selah Decoded Version

Faithful love surrounds the trusting person while sorrow remains real.

Many sorrows belong to the wicked; the one who trusts in the LORD is surrounded by faithful love. Trust is reliance, the heart’s full weight resting on the LORD, and that love forms the enclosing reality of the reader’s life. Sorrow is named plainly, but it is not the only thing around the one who trusts.

WHAT THIS UNDOES

The verse undoes the belief that ongoing sorrow proves the LORD’s faithful love has left you.
