This verse in the Selah Decoded Version

Here, being sent is not a title but a trajectory: the LORD’s messengers are defined by moving through the whole earth.

The vision presents the earth as traversed by those sent at the LORD’s command. Their commission takes the form of movement through the whole world. The reader stands in a world that remains within the range of divine attention.

WHAT THIS UNDOES

It undoes the belief that distance makes the world unseen or unattended: the scene pictures the LORD’s sent ones moving through the earth.

שָׁלַח

shālaḥ

GROWS FROM

שלח

To send out, let go, or release.

The root lets “sent” carry both commission and release into movement. The verse joins that sending directly to walking through the earth: the assignment becomes visible in motion.

ALSO GROWS

Shiloach: A name associated with sent waters; in John 9:7, Siloam is interpreted as “Sent.”

שִׁלֹחַ

The name carries the same sending root into a flowing place, linking the verse’s movement with the sent waters of Shiloam.

shilluach: Sending away; dismissal.

שִׁלּוּחַ

This branch shows the root’s sense of release: what is sent is let go to move outward.

shaliach: An envoy or emissary.

שָׁלִיחַ

The sent ones are identified by their commission, as this branch names one who carries a sending.

לְהִתְהַלֵּךְ

lehit'halech

GROWS FROM

הלך

To walk or go; to move along.

“walk to and fro” in this verse is lehit'halech. The form here means to walk about or move through a place. The verse brings the two roots together: those released on a commission go through the earth, so sending takes the shape of traversal.

ALSO GROWS

halakh: To walk or go.

הָלַךְ

This basic verb holds the physical movement named in the vision.

halikhah: Walking; a journey.

הֲלִיכָה

This branch makes the movement a course through space, fitting the sent ones’ passage across the earth.

The LORD’s reach through the earth is pictured as movement, with what is sent extending across the world.

For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth.
Zechariah 4:10 · KJVThe eyes of the LORD are pictured moving through the whole earth, echoing the sent ones’ traversal.
For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.
2 Chronicles 16:9 · KJVThe LORD’s attention is described as ranging across the earth and meeting people there.
And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.
Revelation 5:6 · KJVWhat is sent from God is explicitly carried into all the earth.
And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.
John 9:7 · KJV

The same ⁨שָׁלַח⁩ (shalach, send or release) root stands behind Siloam’s name, which John interprets as “Sent.” In Zechariah, sending sends the figures through the earth; in John, the name marks the pool where a man washes and comes seeing.
