This verse in the Selah Decoded Version

The thing is already coming into view before you know its name; seeing begins when your eyes are lifted.

The messenger turns your attention toward what is coming into view: your eyes are raised, and you are asked to see before you can name it. The unknown is not absent; it is already in motion, becoming visible to you now.

WHAT THIS UNDOES

Not knowing what something is does not mean nothing is happening; emergence and uncertainty can occupy the same moment.

הַיּוֹצֵאת

hayyotse't from yatsa

GROWS FROM

יצא

yatsa

To go out, come forth, emerge.

“goeth forth” in this verse is hayyotse't from yatsa. The Hebrew describes something actively coming out: it is already on its way into view before it has been identified. The vision begins in that gap between emergence and naming.

ALSO GROWS

yetzi'ah: An exit or departure.

יְצִיאָה

It shows the root’s movement outward, the same kind of emergence the verse asks you to see.

motza: An outlet or what issues from a source.

מוֹצָא

It carries the sense of something proceeding outward, giving the verse’s movement a point of origin.

רְאֵה

re'eh from ra'ah

GROWS FROM

ראה

ra'ah

To see, look, perceive.

The instruction does not describe the vision in advance; it asks you to see and lets recognition follow. Hebrew uses this root both for seeing and for what appears, holding perception and appearance together.

ALSO GROWS

mar'eh: Appearance, sight, or vision.

מַרְאֶה

The thing that appears belongs to the same root as the act of seeing it.

ro'eh: A seer, one who sees.

רֹאֶה

This branch names the one perceiving, completing the link between the seer and what comes into view.

Sight is redirected toward what is already present and coming into focus.

And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward:
Genesis 13:14 · KJVAbram is told to lift his eyes toward a wide landscape already before him.
Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.
John 4:35 · KJVThe lifted gaze reveals that the harvest is already ready, though it had been expected later.
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
Isaiah 55:11 · KJV

“Goeth forth” in Zechariah comes from ⁨יצא⁩ (yatsa), the same root used for the word that “goeth forth” from the LORD’s mouth here. Isaiah shows what issues from a source carrying its effect outward; Zechariah lets you see emergence before its meaning is named.
