King James wording
King James Version
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.THE KEY
Revelation closes with favor spoken as a shared presence, extending to “you all” before the final Amen.
THE MEANING
The Lord Jesus Christ’s favor is spoken over you and the whole community now; “all” leaves no one outside its address. Amen gives that shared blessing its closing assent.
WHAT THIS UNDOES
The belief that the Lord’s favor is reserved for a select few is undone by the blessing’s direct address to “you all.”

The LORD make his face shine upon you, and bend toward you.And with great power the sent ones rendered their witness to the standing up of the Lord Jesus, and great favor was upon them all.The favor of the Lord Jesus, the Anointed One, and the love of God, and the sharing in common of the Set-Apart Breath, be with you all. Amen.THE THREAD
Let us therefore draw near, with open speech, to the throne of favor, that we may receive compassion, and find favor to help in the right moment.Hebrews describes this same favor as help found in time of need, giving Revelation’s closing blessing a concrete shape. Favor accompanies the reader into need as accessible aid.
